My love for photography parallels my love of storytelling. I love to write, and when I discovered the power of relaying the emotion through images, I was hooked. I also love those sacred first days of a newborn’s life. The rawness of emotions, the way your vulnerability and your baby’s utter dependence on you are swaddled and safe in a mysterious kind of love they don’t make words to describe.
I have to thank Alison for entrusting the most tender moments a family experiences to me. It is no easy feat for a new mom to welcome a fairly new acquaintance into her hospital room to share the first sibling introductions, and when she asked me to do these, there were fireworks of celebration set off in my heart. This session encompasses everything I love about photography.
Alison was a portrait of grace while welcoming her two older sons in to meet their baby brother, and the pride that beamed from big brother Jay, when his eyes moved from Hunter to his mama’s face, literally took my breath away.
