I have always been passionate about photography as a way to tell a story. As a wedding photographer, it is easy for me to fulfill my need to tell the story with a full day of characters waiting to be captured. For 6 years now I have been photographing families with the same heart, but in the back of my head there has been a sense that a chosen location and posed toddlers were hindering the masterpiece I wanted to create. This coupled with this idea that I would love to put a book in my kids’ hands one day, that genuinely captures what life in our home, has sparked a new venture.
It is with bright-eyed optimism that I introduce a new layer of my work to you in hopes that I am not the only one wanting to remember life as it truly is. I want to document my days with sincerity, so that one day my girls look back at a photograph of their dad kissing their heads hello and know how loved they were. I would love to do the same for you.
At Home Sessions do just what they say they’ll do- they tell your story at home. These sessions allow me to be a fly on the wall at your home where your kids are most comfortable, documenting a snapshot of what life is like for your family. Whether I am taking a peak at your morning routine, afternoon fun in sprinklers, or bath time, the images are candid and genuine, capturing the essence of what makes your family unique- instead of forcing smiles and fretting over outfits. I will loosely group your family and capture “group shots”, but the feel will be allover casual and natural. Each at home session will receive up to two hours of time in and around your home, and a custom designed coffee table book. Package information can be found under the “sessions” tab above.
