I say often that words escape me when it comes to describing certain sessions, and it’s true. Sometimes I drive away from a session with those tingling feet that come after snatching up moments that make people a family and sticking them in my camera. It feels magical, like a treasure hunt, and when I walk away with a bagful of stolen memories it is nothing short of exhilerating. I knew when I launched my At Home Sessions I would be inviting that feeling in often, and this one exceeded all my expectations. It felt especially significant because these four kids will be saying goodbye to their dad this Sunday when the Navy ships him out to Afghanistan for a year. When he returns baby boys will have grown and little girls will have changed, but this moment in time- a simple Saturday morning as a family of six- stands still. I can’t thank this precious family enough for the opportunity to capture it.
