This past weekend I got to watch my oldest brother say “I do”. I remember his excitement over his new girlfriend 3 years ago, when he rode with me to a family vacation. “I know this sounds crazy but I think I’m going to marry her!” he shared in between his trying-to-be-cool-while-being-giddy stories of the two of them talking for hours and adventuring together. Within five minutes of meeting her I understood his excitement, and I saw a side of my brother I had never seen before.
Michael, I am so so happy for you. Your gentleness, consistency, and protectiveness are what makes you as great of a husband as you are a brother and friend. Meg, you are a rare beauty- vibrant, joyful, and authentic. You bring out the very best in him- a fresh excitement, a new confidence in love. Our family is so blessed to call you one of ours.
